| The
Acajatuba Jungle Lodge is a rustic ecological jungle
hotel with a close contact with the nature. The entire structure is built with rustic
wood, covered with palm-tree leaves and its different
modules are elevated one meter from the ground to
guarantee absolute safety to the guests. Parrots,
parquets and macaws live in total freedom and appears
everywhere in the Lodge’s surrounding.
A 30 meter-high
observation tower is elevated to enjoy the of the
river and the top of the trees.
Acajatuba
is one of the jungle hotels, that is more distant
situated to the city of Manaus. It is approximately
62km west of the city and a boat transfer may take
3 hours,
and 5 hours including “Meeting of the Waters”. To
consider the distance from the civilization, the hotel
has comfort and provides with a real sense of adventure
in the amazon forest.
The breakfasts and other meals are served in
a panoramic restaurant facing the River. The footbridges,
common areas, and the bar are illuminated with petrol
lamps at night.
The
Lodge features a total of 20 chalets, built
with native wood in the "Amazonian" style,
covered with palms, screens covering the windows.
In the rooms are some furniture for the guests comfort,
bed clothes, as well a private bathroom with towels
and soap. There are no fan or air conditioning. The
lighting of the apartments is powered by low-intensity
lamps. |
