Day
1) About 08:00 we leave our hotel in Manaus
and travel by car/Van (1,5h.) to the village and
River of Rio Preto da Eva, where a motorized canoe
for max 9 people is waiting us. Here we go for about
2 hours by boat on the beautiful and sometimes narrow
river, until we reach a lodge where we will have
lunch. After this the “real” adventure
may start, as we return to the canoe and go deeper
into the jungle – experience how to survive
in the jungle. We will learn how live as the Indians
do in the region, using natural products and objects
to make a shelter for the night. We will use branches
and leafs from palm trees and banana plants to protect
from rain. NOTE: Every night we
sleep in hammocks and mosquito net already included
in the package.
Day 2) We wake up early in the
morning, about 05:00, we go on in our canoe observing
the wildlife activities in the daybreak. At 07;00
we have breakfast and then will make a jungle trek
to a waterfall, where we may take a bath. In the
afternoon we will visit “Cabocolos”
(native people) and see there plantation of Maniocs
and the method of production of its flour, which
is a very important for the local food supply.
Day 3) Breakfast and jungle trek
to another waterfall and we will learn about local
medicine plants. After lunch, at a jungle lodge,
we go on in the canoes and reach a place for overnight.
Day 4) Breakfast and walk back
to our “base” where we started. Here
we have lunch and take the motorized canoe back
to the village of Rio Preto da Eva, where we also
will visit a small Indian Reserve named “Beija-Flor”
(Colibri). Here experience a bit of their culture
and handicrafts, before we take the transfer back
to Manaus City. We are supposed to arrive downtown
or the airport about 19:00.
NOTE: In this program all transports
and guided service are included. Also all food stuff,
tropical fruits and facilities for accommodation
in the jungle are included.
