Hotel Tropical Manaus is located about 10km from Manaus Airport and (in another direction) 16km to downtown. The River Negro passes in front of the hotel, where the famous "port" - the Pier is situated. The Pier is the meeting point for many of the region's tours into the Amazon Jungle. Even if you are not staying at the Tropical Hotel, there are normally transfers from the airport or other hotels in downtown to this point. Of course there are some departures from the floating port in downtown as well.
