Seguro was the place where the Portuguese King's seafarer
landed for the first time in Brazil, the date was
the 22nd of April, 1500. The small town, has today
about 75.000 inhabitants, and a lot of history of
the Portuguese colonization. It is located in the
state of Bahia about 700km south of its capital, Salvador.
Nowadays, Porto Seguro is very popular destination,
especially among young people. Except 90km of nice
beaches and natural pools at the corals of "Recife
de Fora", the nightlife is great. The atmosphere is
very animated and the entertainment is guaranteed
by an enormous supply of Axé music, parties, bars
and restaurants. In the center, the street of "Passarela
do Alcool" and the place "Central Park" you may find
the best and the biggest area of nightlife (bars &
restaurants) in an open space. Also the beaches are
animated. At Taperapuã beach, one of the most popular
beaches, are many activities and not only daytime
but also nighttime. There are dance presentations
- where you can participate, several small kiosks
and bars, and you can feel the party atmosphere for
24hours per day. During the day it's possible to make
tours by schooners (boats), helicopter, and many other
aquatic sports. |
