Aldeia da Mata Eco Lodge is considered as a modest but very charming accommodation. The place was inaugurated in 2000 and is very beautiful located on the beach of Praia de Serra Grande, along the highway BA-001 between Ilheus/Itacare (km 31). The most common way to arrive is via the airport in Ilheus and then car transfer to Itacare. This is the place for nature lovers, providing a great variety of activities like; tours through the rain forest, visits to a cacao farm, trekking and rafting are some of several pleasant activities that is waiting for you.

During your stay at Aldeia da Mata Eco Lodge you may enjoy the restaurant, totally situated in the rainforest. There the guests can talk directly with the chef, and choose the preferred meal based on the best raw material of the day, depending on the season. (Fish, crustacean, fruits, etc). The fruits and vegetables are cultivated in local gardens based on ecologic plantations. To complete the atmosphere and nearness to the nature, there are monkeys dispersed in the eco lodge’s surrounding, which the guests are allowed to feed.

Further you may relax at the “outlook” bar, situated on the beach, with an ample view of the beach. There is also one games room and a TV room. To really relax, you may enjoy the “spa-chalet”, where they provide massage, hydro-massage, aroma therapy, and body hydration, using natural methods, natural oils, crèmes, essences, and fruits – so you will enter in a perfect harmony with the nature.

The bungalows are dispersed within a tropical garden, between the Atlantic rainforest and a very beautiful beach. Each bungalow has an individual architecture and decoration, make possible for the guests, to choose a chalet with the most liked style. They were constructed to preserve the local fauna and flora, and some of them are built on pillars about 3 meters above the ground. All bungalows have verandahs with view of the tropical garden & rainforest, and you really feel the presence of the sea (only +/- 30m from the bungalows). There are 10 bungalows, all equipped with ceiling fan, mini refrigerator, safety box, TV, warm water heated by gas, and drinking water from a local spring. The guest has the option to sleep with open windows, listen to the music of the sea, the sing of birds, and the enigmas of the forest. For honeymooners they provide with a romantic atmosphere and small surprises.
