Category/Location: The guest house Pousada do Pilar, is located in the historic center of Salvador. It is privileged situated with a beautiful view of the sea, the All Saint’s Bay, the Bonfim Church and the Sao Marcelo Fortress. The place was inaugurated in 2005, after long time of repairing and preserving the old historical building. Today it is considered as a TOURIST category hotel, perfect for those that like small charming places and that want to take part of Salvador’s history.

Service/Leisure: The hotel has a very spacious hall and reception and the breakfast saloon has a spacious verandah with view of the sea. There are no other facilities of leisure like swimming pool, but this is the only guest house in Salvador old downtown that have elevator to superior floors.

Accommodations: There are only 12 accommodations divided in 3 categories; 5 standard rooms with view to the street, 6 superior rooms with verandah and view of the ocean, and 1 suite with verandah and sea view. The suite is more spacious, large verandah, bigger bed and in general more luxury. All accommodations are equipped with cable TV, telephone, safety box, air conditioning and a mini-bar (refrigerator).
