The inn Pousada Rio da Barra is privileged located on the beach, beautifully situated at the river mouth of the river Rio da Barra. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the region of Trancoso, surrounded by natural swimming pools, lots of preserved vegetation and the famous & colorful rocks of Trancoso. It is about 5km to the historical village of Trancoso and 18km to Arraial DÁjuda. On the beach you can play beach volley and beach tennis, and the hotel has also kayaks.

The hotel has also the honor to house on of the regions best restaurants of local food, which they prepare upon request. The restaurant is divided in one indoor area and one outdoor area with view of the sea and the river. Further they have TV room and a bar with service on the beach. There are only 13 accommodations, all equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar, bathroom with warm water, verandah with hammock, one queen bed and one twin bed or bunk bed. Eight of the rooms have front view of the sea and five of the rooms have view of the river.
