MORE ABOUT TRANCOSO |
Trancoso
is a small village located about 26 Km south of Porto
Seguro, BUT it takes about ONE hour to go from the
airport in Porto Seguro, because of the ferry boat.
The village was founded by Jesuits in 1586 as the
Indian Settlement of São João Batista.
Trancoso keeps some magic with its square formed square
named “Quadrado”, surrounded by small
houses in a row that make the "frame" with
a church in the middle. This place is much more sophisticated
than the more famous Porto Seguro. During a visit
to Porto Seguro, it is well worth a visit to Trancoso
during some days, or even better to stay in Trancoso
and in case visit Porto Seguro. Besides the charming
little village, there are several nice restaurants
and accommodations, but many go here for the exotic
and desert beaches. The long and extended beaches
seem not to have any end. Here it is also common to
practice naturism at one indicated nudism beach. |
