The
forest of Guarás is the entry to the Amazon jungle.
It is also one of the biggest mangrove forests in
Brazil. The area constitutes a migratory
stopover for unnumbered
amount of birds, in an area of 12.000 sq. km. The
forest is cleared,
to give space for
hundreds of navigable channels that give access to
outstanding bio diversity and take us to many islands
surrounded of mysteries, legends and tradition. To
navigate in the forest is an explosion of colors,
sounds and movements. To travel to the region require
some planning in advanced and it’s preferable to go
in a group. The access is limited because of the area
doesn’t have a good infrastructure of transports.
