Day
1. Cuiabá
/ Pantanal
Reception and assistance upon your arrival at Cuiaba
Airport. Transfer to the Pousada Rio Mutum, passing
through the small village of Mimoso, where Candido
Rondon was born. Arrival at the Pousada at dinner
time (reception with welcome drink). After dinner,
the facilities of the Pousada will be shown, and a
presentation of the program for the next days.
Day
2.
Pantanal
After breakfast: ecological hiking tour through the
wilderness of the Pantanal, visiting some settlements
of the native “caboclos” with their palm
thatched huts. People’s hospitality will provide
you with a lot of impressions of their lives together
with a very stimulating drink of the genuine fruit
“Guarana”. Then lunch at the lodge and
after lunch: Horse trekking through typical Pantanal
landscapes, and a visit of a farm (Fazenda) which
is situated at the lake Sia Mariana, where we will
be waiting the sunset. After all we return to the
hotel by boat, and on the way back there will be opportunity
of Piranha fishing.
Evening
and dinner at the guest house.
Day
3.
Pantanal
In the morning, after breakfast, there will be a boat
ride to “Corixo”, where we go on walking
to the Chacororé bay, which has more than 15km
of extension. Lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon
a ride by car or boat, taking us to the Mutum River
for a photographic safari of an almost unexplored
area of the river, where we will observe wild life
of Pantanal. Evening and dinner at the guest house.
Day
4.
Pantanal / Cuiabá
After breakfast return to Cuiaba Airport and departure.
NOTE:
The program above is only a reference
– but there can be some changes in the program,
after your arrival, according to your desires and
local conditions. When visiting the Pantanal, we also
recommend that you to bring common drugs as well as
antihistamines (in case you have some allergies),
insect repellents, sun protectors, sun glasses, swimming
suits, old tennis shoes, light clothes (but shirts
with long sleeves and long trousers) and jogging suits
or fleeces. It doesn’t occur Malaria in this
region of South America, so NO worry about this the
disease. The only vaccine we recommend is against
“Yellow Fever”, but it is not required
by Brazilian authorities. |
