Category/Location: The Pantanal Lodge, Pousada Rio Claro, is beautifully situated at the edge of the river. The hotel is located 142km from the airport in Cuiaba, in the municipal of Pocone, at KM 42 along the Transpantaneira Road. It takes normally approx 2,5h to go from the airport, and the transport / transfer itself is an experience. It was inaugurated in 1990 and is considered as a TOURIST category hotel.

Service/Leisure: At this Pantanal Lodge you will enjoy the surrounding’s rich fauna & flora, where you have the possibility to observe approx 640 species of birds, 75 mammals, 40 reptiles and 250species of fish. The lodge itself is simple but nice, providing comfort & atmosphere in harmony with the lifestyle in the Pantanal. They service all meals at the lodge’s restaurant and after an adventurous day, you may take a swim in the swimming pool.

Accommodations: There are a total of 20 accommodations, all rooms equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, private bathroom, windows with mosquito net, hammock and three single beds.

D depending on what part of the year you visit the place, the transports / tours can be performed in different ways, by boat, horse or walk. Common activities are alligator spotting, fishing, explore the fauna flora and bird watching.
