"The cave with the blue lake"

The
Blue Lake Cave (Gruta do Lago Azul) has
a big variety of geological formation but impresses
mainly for the deep blue colored water of its inside
lake. The tour starts with a 5 minute walk to the
entrance of the cave, which has been discovered by
a Terenan Indian in 1924. In its interior, after descending
100 meters, it is possible to see the lake of crystal
clear water and depth of approximately 70 meters,
which makes it one of Earths biggest flooded caves.

Age: Entrance forbidden to children
under 5.
Tips: It’s mandatory to wear
tennis shoes. Besides, we suggest light and comfortable
clothes for this kind of activity. Take still water,
sun protection, a hat, insect repellent and a binocular.
