The inn Pousada Refúgio da Ilha is located 25km from Miranda. The refuge is an ecological paradise on the riverbank of the clear water in Rio Salobra, that divides into two arms of the river and form an island. The pousada provides its visitors a total integration between humans and the nature, in a green area of more than 1.800 hectares of preserved nature. The region attracts a numberless species of savage animals, those can be seen during the trips they arrange at the pousada. There are several options of trips: horseback riding, trekking, trips by boat, mountain biking, bird watching, alligator spotting, bathing and sport fishing. The pousada is family styled and offers full board and lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner (food/meals with traditional local food, “Caseira”). There is a home-styled living room with TV as well as a refrigerator for common usage, where you may pick some snack/beverage at night. There are 06 bedrooms, all equipped with air-conditioning, fan and private bathroom.
