One
of the most important pale-ontological sites of the
world is located in the town of Sousa, in the remote
interior of the state of Paraíba, about 420km from
João Pessoa. In "Rio do Peixe" you can find the Dinosaur
Valley, with the highest incidence of dinosaur footprints
in the world. The Dinosaur Valley has an area reserved
for researchers and visitors to see the footprints
of 130 million years old prehistoric animals that
marked the land with a trail of 46 meters in a straight
line, with more than ½ a meter of length. The passage
of these animals through Paraíba's countryside arouses
the interest of scientists, tourists and curious people
from all around the world.
