Hotel Portinari is located only one block (30m) from the famous beach of Copacabana. Its location provides an easy access to the main tourist points of Rio and it takes about 20min to the domestic airport and 50min, by car, to the international airport. The hotel was inaugurated in 2003 and is Rio de Janeiro’s first “design hotel”. Each floor is designed and decorated by different architects, so the hotel itself is an attraction, especially for designers and architects.

During your stay at this hotel, you may enjoy the fitness center, sauna, and Jacuzzi (NOTE: The hotel doesn’t have swimming pool). Further there an elegant decorated restaurant (with reproduced porcelain of the painter Cândido Portinari) and lobby bar, with and the hotel provides with a structure for business (meeting room, internet access, etc).

There are only 66 guest rooms, distributed in 11 floors, each floor with different style. There are 44 rooms in category Deluxe, 11 Junior Suites and 11 Executive Suites. All accommodations are equipped with queen sized beds, pillow with goose, TV 21” flat screen, air conditioning, free fast internet access, electronic door lock, hair dryer, telephone, safety box, and 24-h room service. The suites are more ample and have DVD player as well.
