| Genipabu
beach is located 30Km north of Natal City. The palace
is famous because of its sand dunes, and it has been
a scenery for TV commercials and soap operas.
Visitors
can go down the dunes by beach buggy, “esquibunda”
(like sand-ski-board that you sit on, going down the
dunes), enjoy a Parachute or raft pulled by a buggy,
riding mule or a camel along the beach, or more relaxing,
just walk on the dunes and have a break in one of
the bars, drink and eat some crabs & seafood.
Tour
to Genipabu (4hours)
The tour is done by van or bus, from Natal. Upon arrival
there will be a tour by Beach Buggies, that takes
you to the "fixed" sand dunes, going around
for 20minutes. After that you will stay at the beach
of Jacumã until the return to the hotels in Natal.
OPTIONAL: You can also stay in the region during
the whole day (8hours), passing thourgh the beaches
of Genipabu, Barra do Rio, Graçandu, Pitangui, Jacumã
,Porto Mirim and Muriú. In this case you will also
go up (by beach buggy), to the "movable"
sand dunes, the most emotional part of this tour.
You will make a stop at three big natural lakes, formed
by accumulated rain water. There will be time for
bathing in the lakes, at a place with sturcture for
leisure and snack bars. You might try to ski or surf
on the "Ski-Bunda".
