DESCRIPTION OF THE PACKAGE:

Day 1) Transfer from the Airport or the Hotel in São Paulo to a chosen accommodation on the island of “Ilhabela” (= the beautiful island), a trip of 210km. Suggested time of departure 08:00 and approximated time of arrival 12:00. Check-in at chosen accommodation. The afternoon and the evening are free, no meals included.

Day 2) Colonial breakfast (included) at 08:00. Leaving the hotel about 09:30 for a full day tour to the beach of “Praia de Castelhanos”. It is an adventure going by a four-wheel driven Jeep on a dirt road, like “off-road”. It is a serpentine road that cross the island from one side to the other, through the Atlantic rainforest. The highest point is 930 meters above the sea level, and there are several outlooks along the road with  beautiful views.

You may arrive the beach about 10:30. The beach is about 1.500 meter long and the waves are nice for surfing. There is a small village where just 15 native families live and they provide with one small restaurant. During the day you enjoy the beach, but there are some optional treks as well. One of them, is a 40min trek to a 80m high waterfall. In the afternoon return to your hotel with approximated arrival time at 18:00. The evening free, no meals included.

Day 3) Colonial breakfast (included) at 09:00. Leaving the hotel about 09:30 for a day tour to the beach of “Praia do Jabaquara”, by boat (schooner). The tour pass several beaches and arrives Jabaquara beach at 11:30, where five native families live. There are two small rivers with theirs estuaries going into the sea. Here you can swim and dive in the sea’s crystal-clear water. Return about 12:30 and disembark the boat at 14:00. Optional: they provide with soft drinks, beers, water, snacks, and rental equipment for snorkeling on board the boat. Check out at 16:00 and return to São Paulo, approximated arrival time at 20:00.

OBS: Don’t forget among other things: sunscreen, insect repellent, sneakers and socks.

NOTE: It is possible to make changes in the program, i.e. instead of to return to São Paulo you may continue along the coast in the direction of Rio de Janeiro. There are many beautiful beaches in the region, Ubatuba, Parati, Angra dos Reis, Ilha Grande, etc.
