Suggestion:
The PRIVATE City Tour - The Best of São
Paulo may start at Hotel Blue Tree Convention
(beside Shopping Center Ibirapuera) or at the
place according to your request. The tour takes
approx. 4 hours and goes in the direction of the noble
neighborhood of the Nova Conceição and
the Ibirapuera Park. We will pass in front of the
park, able to see its green area and monuments like
“Monument of Bandeiras”, “Statue
of Pedro Álvares Cabral”, “Mausoleum
of the Constitutionalist Soldier & its Obelisk”,
Monument of Ayrton Senna, and the Biennial. After
this we go in the direction of Ave. Brasil and its
green area with huge houses and the church of Nossa
Senhora do Brasil.
From
there we approach the famous hotel and restaurant
district of Jardins, passing the fabulous shopping
streets of Haddock Lobo & Oscar Freire (Named
Paulista Manhattan, with stores like; Hugo Boss, Versace,
Mount Blanc, etc.) Then we reach the symbol of the
city, Ave. Paulista and its sites like; MASP Museum,
several Culture Centers and many bank buildings. At
the end of this avenue we approach the Japanese Town
where you will discover one of Sao Paulo’s contrasts
as a multi-cultural city.
We
have now been going around for some time and then
time for our first stop and inside visit. We will
visit the Cathedral of Sé where the city and
the state have its zero marker. Then we continue by
car, passing the place where Sao Paulo where founded,
“Patio do Colégio”, and then the
Monastery of Sao Bento, valley of Anhangabau, the
Municipal Theater and some other buildings of interest.
After
all this, it is time for our second inside visit,
now at the Municipal Market. The lively market opens
four a’ clock in the mornings, but by the time
we will visit, it is already calm and we can stroll
around for some time. Here you can find most food
stuff, exotic fruits you never have seen, tasteful
cheeses you don’t find in common markets, lots
of snack like olives, nuts, etc. You may also find
some good wine, good variety of meet and fish. They
sell also tropical birds and some small animals. Even
if you don’t intend to buy anything, it is a
nice experience to visit this market and it will hopefully
raise your appetite..!
From
the market we will go in the direction of São
Paulo’s highest building, Edifício Itália.
On the way we will pass the Park of Don Pedro II.
By the time we will arrive the tour's last attraction,
Praça da Republica, we suggest to go upstairs
and have a lunch at the restaurant Terraço
Itália, situated on the top floor of Edifício
Itália. This visit is optional, but there it
is possible to enjoy, besides the lunch buffet (lunch
is not included,
upon request we can include the lunch),
also the most fabulous and interesting view of São
Paulo city – a panoramic view of 360°. After
all this, time to return to the place where we started
our tour. |
