The
town of Socorro is a part of São Paulo’s
famous “Circuito das Águas”. It
is only 140km from the capital and about 50km from
Bragança Paulista. It has been known for its
water springs, medicinal waters, and sales of local
knitted sweaters. Recently, the region also becomes
to be known as an excellent area of practice of radical
sports and eco tourism. There are many options of
activities; hang gliding, rafting, aqua-ride (Duck),
canoeing, mountain biking, motor cross, off-road (jeep)
canyoning, rappel, cascading, trekking, among other
things. Here we may find a greater variety of activities
than in Brotas (265km from São Paulo) and another
advantage is the distance from Sao Paulo, you may
spend 1 ½ less in the car, going to Socorro.
