Cumbuco
is small village of fishermen, surrounded by sand
dunes and coconut trees. Because of its clean sea
water and the nearness to Fortaleza City, only 33km
away, the place starts to be popular. The main attractions
are the lake “Lagoa do Banana” and the
beach buggy rides in the sand dunes. It is also possible
to experience horse back riding, “Jangada”
rides, and flying “ultra leve”. It was
here once the sand board sport became developed, so
well worth to try that as well. The hotel standard
in the region is still quite simple, but it is a perfect
alternative for those that prefer to escape the big
city (Fortaleza) and then stay in Cumbuco instead
while you have a night of “transfer” between
Jericoacara and Fortaleza airport. |
