The "Monkey Park" is located near the EcoPark Jungle Lodge. There you can visit and see several species of monkeys. EcoPark is a hotel, but at the same time it is an Ecological Park. There they have a project to preserve the region's fauna and flora near Manaus. The region has problems with hunters and others, which "rob" monkeys and other wild animals for sales. When local authorities take these criminals, the animals come "lost", maybe mentally and/or physically hurt. Then they take the monkeys to EcoPark, and put them in quarantine and treatment under inspection of a vet. When it is time to feed the monkeys, it is possible to observe them. This is the only jungle hotel providing this opportunity. Note: It can be difficult to see free & wild animals in the Amazon Jungle, this park is nice opportunity.
