The “Pousada
do Boqueirão" is housed in a colonial
house overlooking the Bay of All Saints, located in
the historic centre of Salvador, Bahia, which has
some of the most monumental baroque architecture of
Latin America. In the Pousada’s restaurant,
the guests are served the breakfast on its beautiful
terrace with a panoramic view of the sea. It is only
five minute walk from the Pousada to Pelourinho, a
district in the historic centre that is known for
its beautiful colonial architecture, with houses painted
in various pastel colors and narrow, steep cobblestone
streets, its prominent African heritage and lively
nights. From the Pousada it is a 30 minute drive to
the international airport of Salvador and a 20 minute
drive to the best beaches of the city.
The Pousada do Boqueirão has restored all of
its colonial features, and furnished its rooms with
antiques and local handicrafts. A combination of fine
colonial architecture, a central location and beautiful
views has made the Pousada do Boqueirão a pleasant
place to stay in Salvador. There are 15 rooms, divided
in different categories, but all are equipped with
a fridge, a fan and a telephone with modem. The Luxury
Suite, the Suite and the Standard rooms
have private bathrooms and a view of the bay or the
historic centre (NOTE: It is the
Standard rooms that Packtours indicates initially
to its clients). The Colonial Rooms have a big
room, view of the historic centre, bathroom outside
shared with other rooms. The Small Colonial Rooms
have one intern room, bathroom outside shared with
other rooms. Room No 10 has a private bathroom, but
no view. |
