Pousada
Redfish is a charming guesthouse situated in the Historical
Centre of Salvador (on a residential street connecting
Pelourinho and the Largo do Santo Antonio, a very
pleasant square with a colonial-era fort and church
and a fantastic view of the bay). The establishment
itself is dutifully run under the close direction
of an English artist, Charles, and his Brazilian wife,
Helena. It has recently been completely refurbished,
while retaining many original features, and it is
spacious and well appointed.
The top floor rooms have large terraces with great
views and comfy hammocks, while the downstairs rooms
are capacious and have either French windows or a
veranda. All rooms have ceiling fans, mini-fridges
and big, comfortable, modern bathrooms. Telephone,
fax, internet, and a good breakfast are provided as
well.
